When You Wish

Today we got to visit a potential school for Ethan… and let me tell you, we were IMPRESSED. Sarah had been talking to one of the admissions folks and had really gotten a good feeling from her. Everything was very professional, helpful and encouraging. When we visited there yesterday, we had a fantastic tour and got to see a bunch of classes in action. I told Sarah that if Ethan doesn’t get in here, I might apply myself. It was THAT cool. Full size swimming pool and lessons for kids, a gym, chef on staff, meal choices, rock climbing wall, horse trails, a 500+ seat theater, outdoor classroom and bird watching stations… PLUS they have individualized education plans for all the students. Now all we have to do is see if we qualify for tuition assistance.
At this point in his life, Ethan really could do pretty much anything he wanted to. With the opportunities offered at a school like this, it’s even that much more possible. It’s exciting to think about who he could become, what he could learn, and what things he might accomplish as he grows into a young man. His dreams could become reality… then again, so could anyone’s.
With that in mind, I give you “When You Wish Upon a Star” — but not the classic Disney version.
Check out the Billy Joel version for kicks… see if you like it. I do.
