About Caves in San Cristóbal: caves, natural arch, and zip line
This one-day tour takes you to three of the most interesting natural sites near San Cristóbal de las Casas. You'll explore caves, a naturally formed stone arch, and grottos with impressive formations — perfect for those who love nature and adventure in Chiapas.
The experience starts at Cueva del Mamut, where you can appreciate different rock figures. Next, you'll visit El Arcotete eco-tourism park, known for its natural stone arch and the option to zip-line (activity not included in the price).
To close the day, you'll head to Rancho Nuevo cave for an approximately 700-meter walk inside the formation. If you'd like, you can also add horseback riding or zip-lining before returning to San Cristóbal.
The tour includes ground transportation and entrance fees to all three caves, so you can just focus on enjoying the experience. It's a great way to discover the natural and underground side of this region of Chiapas.
